We are a friendly informal drawing group. Although the group is untutored there is the opportunity to interact with other members, who include practising Artists and Art Lecturers.

The Friends Life Group stays open during holidays when schools and colleges are closed. Last year the Tuesday group only closed between Christmas and New Year while the Friday group closed on Good Friday as well.

Artist Peter Shread will have an exhibition of his work at the RBSA running from Monday 19th September to Saturday 2nd October. The exhibition will feature his woodcut and linocut prints. Pete has been a regular at our Life Study group for many years now.

Tuesday Group FLICKR

All attenders of the Tuesday group, we want to get your work up on Flickr to help promote you and promote the group. Please email your work to friendslifestudy@gmail.com or bring it in on a Tuesday evening during the Summer so it can be photographed while there's good light.

Emailed pictures should preferably be at least 1024 pixels in the longer direction so it can be viewed at it's best in Flickr's large size. You can send emails (with attachments) of up to 20 megabytes.

We would like to include some of your life studies from the Tuesday group along with some of your other Art, so surfers can get a good idea of what you as an Artist as well do as what we do as a group. Pictures will go up "all rights reserved" by default, though we can change the copyright settings at your request.

Paul Bartlett is a regular attender of our Tuesday group as well as leading the Friday group. The Friday group moved from the MAC while it was being renovated and has kept it going independently ever since, along with the following courses, elsewhere:
